Science:

We had the traveling  choir from Auburn Adventist Academy come to our school and do a performance for us.

Social Studies:

We studied how General Washington was able to force the British to leave Boston at the beginning of the Revolutionary War.

Language Arts:

Handwriting-Lesson 27 Day 4

Spelling- lesson 27 Sentences for the second side of hte worksheet

Reading- Guns for General Washington  we are learning about an event in the Revolutionary War and we are working on writing comprehension questions from our reading.

Grammar- Working with possesive apostrophes  worksheets.

Writing- Today is the day that the students were to have their research paper topic ready so they can begin researching information this weekend.

We used balloons and paper hole punches to learn about static electricity

We learned about the Second Continental Congress and the Declaration of Independence.

Reading- Guns for General Washington, students - half are reading in their books, the other half are working on writing comprehension questions from what is being read.

Beginning a new chapter on electricity today.  Kids got their new objectives

Social Studies:

New objectives today.  We are beginning the American Revolution in full!

Language Arts:

Handwriting- Lesson 27

Spelling- Pre Test Lesson 27

Grammar- We are learning about punctuation marks, and possessive apostrophes

Writing- We are beginning work on a research project.  I have asked the students to work on picking a topic for their paper.

Reading- We are reading a book entitle Guns for General Washington as a class to go along with our Social Studies chapter.

Please make sure to encourage your student to be working on their science project, we are just over two weeks away from the Science Fair!

Social Studies:

Test on Thursday!
We studied and reviewed our objectives today.

Language Arts:

Handwriting- Lesson 26 Day 2 & 3

Spelling- Lesson 26 worksheet

Reading- Students have gotten their group reading books and their daily reading assignments.

Writing-  We had 25 minutes of free drafting time in class.  Most students are in the drafting phase of writing.

We played a Bible game today to help us learn our Bible books

Math:

Intermediate 5 - Times 8, Lesson 91
Course 1 - Simplifying Fractions,  Investigation 9

Science:

Review for our Test, and then a Review game to help us learn.
Our essay questions will be 6, 8, & 9

Social Studies:

We skipped Social Studies today to take more time studying our science for the upcoming test.

Language Arts:

Handwriting- Lesson 25 day 3 & 4

Spelling- Worksheet 25, create your own worksheet

Reading- We spent 10  minutes reading to ourselves.  We also are reading the book Kensuke's Kingdom as a class

Grammar- We are going over how to brainstorm our protagonist and antagonists, as well as the plot for our stories.

Writing-  Students had 20 minutes to work on thinking about their protagonist and antagonist for their stories, as well, as their plot, specifically the conflict that motivates their story.

We began to study the first beast of Revelation 13, and noticed its similarity to the beasts of Daniel 7

Math:

 Intermediate 5 - Times 8, and then we finished Investigation 9
Course 1 - Times test of simplifying fractions and then we took test # 17

Science:

We reviewed our objectives in preparation for the test on Friday!!!

We began with a review over the beasts we studies in Daniel 2, 7, & 8

Math:

Intermediate 5 - Times 8, - Investigation 9
Course 1 - Simplifying Fractions - Lesson 91

Science:

We discussed the scientific method and will be practicing it this Friday with an in class experiment.
THERE WILL BE A TEST THIS FRIDAY ON CHAPTER 11

Social Studies:

We learned about the Battle of Bunker Hill and finished # 7 on our objectives.

Language Arts:

Handwriting- Lesson 25 Day 1 & 2

Spelling- Pre Test 25

Reading- We chose our reading books and will be getting them tomorrow

Writing- We got our new writing assignment today, a multiple (2-5) page paper on a story of our choice.  It can either be fiction or non-fiction, and will need to follow the outline of a basic storyline.
