2/28/17

Bible:

Memory Verse - Acts 17:11
We are answering the kids' question of "What happens when you break one commandment?"  We defined sin from 1 John 3:4, defined which of the two laws the Bible references was being talked about, and then allowed Jesus to broaden the definition of sin in Matthew 5:21,22.  Today we qualified the definition of sin by using James 4:17 and Acts 17:30, then, assuming that we broke the commandment with full knowledge, used Romans 6:23 to discuss the penalty of breaking the law.  For the rest of the week, we will study God's forgiveness and sacrifice that buys us our lives!
