We had a quiz today over our Great Controversy Worksheet.
Math:
We did a times tables test for eights, but did not have a lesson today due to the Iowa Assessments

Social Studies:
We did two rounds of sailing today as a break from the longer Iowa Assessments
Simulation time. Each group is sharing the responsibility of plotting their route across the Atlantic Ocean as each group is sailing to reach the New WOrld. We have one lucky group that has made it and is beginning their colony.
Language Arts:
Handwriting- Lesson 3 Day 1 & 2
Spelling - Due to the Iowa Assessments testing, we will not have any spelling this week.
Reading - We read a chapter out of Summer of the Monkeys today during handwriting time. In this chapter, Jay Berry is fooled into drinking some sour mash from a still by the Chimpanzee Jimbo. It is a humorous chapter, but I wanted to make you aware that I took this opportunity to talk about alcohol, and what it can do to people and families.
