11/3/15

My son is in the hospital and is supposed to be having surgery later today.  I have a substitute coming in today and tomorrow.  Here is a copy of the list I have given the substitute for today.

8:00-8:15 Mini- Worship

8:15-9:45 – Bible
Worksheet, have the students break into one group of 5 and two groups of 6 to fill in their worksheets together.

A worksheet is on the desk and they should have I. A-C done. Then they need to D, amd E 1. They can move on if they get correct answers.

8:45-10:00 – Math

Times Test 21
Have the students tell you the trick to be able to do this times table
Worksheets are on the desk

Lesson 41
Please teach the lesson, and then have students do all the problems.
Correction sheets will be

10:-10:25 Recess

Kids are liking to play on the big hill out back of the gym,

10:25-11:05 Science:
Open Book Quiz Quiz is on the desk
11:05-11:45 Social Studies

Begin with a colony map work . The map is on the desk. Give them a little bit of time, 5 minutes or so, to fill out the map. Then correct with them. No need to collect this.

Have them pull out their objectives and work on pages 178-182

If they get done early, you can play a geography game with them. They can tell you how they play it.

11:45-12:40 Lunch

12:40-1:00 Handwriting

Lesson 9 Day 2 & 3

You may read to them out of the book Sir Kendrick, on the table, while they are doing their handwriting.

1:00-1:15 Spelling

Spelling worksheets today. Worksheets are on the desk


1:15-1:35 Grammar

Grammar worksheets are on the desks. Start with the Pronoun side. Read the instructions with the kids and then do one or two together as a group. After that, have them do their work independently.

When they are done with that side, go to the back side and follow the same procedure.

When they are done with both sides, go over the answers together with them.  This will help them to learn whether they understand the concept or not.  They are free to correct any they get wrong.  As you correct, please give volunteers an opportunity to answer the questions for you.

1:35-2:00 Reading

Have the students read chapters 12 and 13 of Blood on the River. For chapter 12, they can read and do three reading notes (they will know what that means.
For chapter 13, they have three reading notes, and then a worksheet to do while they read.

2:00-2:10 Jobs


The jobs list is on the desk with the clothespins .  

2:10-2:15 End of Day Prayer

Ask for a student volunteer to have prayer for the end of the day

2:15-3:05 Music

Please walk them downstairs to the music room for their music class. At this point, they have not shown themselves responsible enough to walk downstairs by themselves, so you will need to accompany them.

3:05-3:10 Dismiss

Students have to stay inside the room, if they get too carried away, have them sit at their desks, until a parent comes to pick them up. Since you don't know the parents, just ask them which student is theirs and then you can dismiss them.
