Here are my notes for her:
8:00-8:15 Mini- Worship
8:15-9:45 – Bible
I usually begin by reviewing the kids
memory verse : Romans 12:9-13
If God inspires you to share anything
or if there is an aspect about these verses that jumps out at you,
please feel free to share with the kids. It is important to help
them see the verses as more than just something to memorize, but
rather something to learn from.
It is Bible Game day. I allow the kids
to volunteer games to play, and then they can let you know how we go
about choosing a game. If they choose Bible Hide and go seek tag
downstairs, please make sure the ground is safe, have the students
clean up prior to playing, and they are into using mats, ask them for
our rules about using mats to remind everyone what is safe and what
is not.
8:45-10:00 – Math
Times Test 21
Have the students tell you the trick
to be able to do this times table
Worksheets are on the desk
Lesson 42
There are two groups
Course 1 – Teach their lesson first
on the front board
Intermediate 5 – Teach their lesson
second on the side board of the classroom.
If kids have any questions, they can
ask each other questions as long as they are whispering and
respectful of the other kids working.
10:-10:25 Recess
Kids
are liking to play on the big hill out back of the gym. We have been
asked not to go back there, so please direct the kids out front near
the sign.
10:25-11:05 Science:
I
have a worksheet for the kids to work on. They will find the answers
on pages 99 and 100 of their Science books.
It
is likely that they may not get finished during the allotted class
time, but that is OK. We will finish tomorrow..
11:05-11:45 Social Studies
Begin with a colony map work . The map is on the desk. Give them a
little bit of time, 5 minutes or so, to fill out the map. Then
correct with them. No need to collect this.
If
they did not finish yesterday's assignment, please give them time to
do that. I'm not sure how clear yesterday's assignment was for them.
I will repeat it here, if they are done, then please ignore this and
move on to what follows:
Read
pages 178, 179, & 180 – Please complete Objective vocabulary
Roger Williams, dissenter, William Penn, James Oglethorpe, &
debtor
After
the vocabulary, please work on #1. It is important for them to
understand the compare means what is similar and contrast means what
is different. I would encourage them to create a table to do this.
If
working on #1 is too difficult for them to complete the work on #1,
let them know we can review and go over it tomorrow.
If
they are done with that, please have them all get a piece of lined
paper and turn to page 182 of their book. Please make sure they
write their name on the top of the paper and answer questions 2, 3,
4, & 5 in the section entitled Review.
If
they get done early, you can play a geography game with them. They
can tell you how they play it.
11:45-12:40 Lunch
Ask
students for a volunteer to pray for lunch, then dismiss them when
their desks and desk area are clean and clear.
12:40-1:00 Handwriting
Lesson
9 Day 3 & 4
You
may read to them out of the book Sir
Kendrick, on the table.
I am not sure how far along Mr. Davisson got yesterday, but please
read to them from where he left off. He began the
1:00-1:15
Spelling
Spelling
sentences for the first side are to be done today. Please remind the
kids of the parts of speech of each word.
1:15-1:35 Grammar
Grammar
worksheets are on the desks. Start with the Pronoun side. Read the
instructions with the kids and then do one or two together as a
group. After that, have them do their work independently.
When
they are done with that side, go to the back side and follow the same
procedure.
When
they are done with both sides, go over the answers together with
them. This will help them to learn whether they understand the
concept or not. They are free to correct any they get wrong.
As you correct, please give volunteers an opportunity to answer
the questions for you.
1:35-2:00 Reading
Joel missed the
chapter 13 worksheets for the kids. Please have them work on those,
and when they are done, have the students read chapter 14 of Blood
on the River. They need to
do three reading notes (they will know what that means) for the
chapter, and there is a worksheet for Chapter 14 as well.
2:00-2:10
Jobs
Jobs
are on the desk with the clothespin.
2:10-2:15
End of Day Prayer
Ask
for a student volunteer to have prayer for the end of the day, so
that you can go to PE and they can be turned over to Mrs. Woodward at
the end of the day.
2:15-2:55
PE
As
long as the NIT work crews are working out back, they have asked that
we don't go back there with the kids.
There
is an area out front around the church sign that we can play in. The
kids choose a game of tag to play, they have also enjoyed soccer, but
this would not be a good area to play that due to the closeness to
the main road.
2:55
– 3:10
Carol
agreed to take care of the kids at this time, so you can get to after
care. Again, thank you so much for taking this for me so I can be
with Kadin.
