Bible:

Memory Verse - Ephesians 2:8
We introduced the concept of the Abrahamic covenant and how God seeks people who will be true to Him.  We touched on the story of Abram and Lot, and began discussion of the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah.

Language Arts: Writing

Today was the day we began drafitng our biographies.  Students are finding some areas they may need to do more research, and areas where they may have too much information.  I am encouraging them to find the facts they need at home, and to be ok not using some of the information they found if they believe it doesn't fit in their biography.

Science:

We began by attepting to, without hands, move a small piece of cooked spaghetti from our foreheads down into our mouths.  It was a tremendous amount of fun, with plenty of funny faces, but there was a scientific lesson in this madness.

We learned about the three catagories of mammals and what they eat.  We also got to see the skulls of different types of mammals, bears, wolves, beavers, and caribou teeth.
